Extraction is an objective you prepare for, not a button you press anywhere on the map. Secure the means to return, reach a valid extraction opportunity, and complete it before the run or the surrounding danger closes you out.
The extraction flow
- Enter with a route and a maximum risk budget.
- Track the return objective while looting instead of waiting until the final minute.
- Secure the Soul of Return required by the return process.
- Move to a valid extraction opportunity and clear immediate threats.
- Complete the return interaction, then bank the equipment you want to keep.
Why extractions fail
- Waiting too long and getting forced into a predictable route by the Gyldenmist.
- Starting a boss or PvP fight without enough time or healing to finish and leave.
- Assuming an extraction location is safe before checking nearby terrain and sound cues.
Verification note
Extraction positions and run conditions can vary. This guide deliberately avoids promising a fixed spawn until a location is confirmed in the current live build.
