Troubleshooting

Lag, Stutter, and High Ping

Identify whether the problem looks like rendering stutter, a network route, or a server-side incident before changing settings.

Quick answer

Start by identifying the symptom. A frame-time spike, high network ping, packet loss, and server-side desync can feel similar but require different responses. Bellring Games is still investigating intermittent server lag, so a local settings change cannot solve every case.

01

Match the symptom

  • Stutter: the image pauses or frame pacing jumps, often while the network indicator stays normal.
  • High ping: the displayed latency is consistently elevated for the selected region.
  • Rubber-banding: movement rewinds or snaps, pointing toward synchronization trouble.
  • Delayed hit registration: attacks appear to land before damage or stagger is applied.
02

Low-risk checks

  • Install the current game update and restart the client after a server-side notice.
  • Confirm the account and match are using the intended region.
  • Compare one solo/PvE run with a busy trio fight and record the in-game network indicators.
  • Reduce one graphics setting at a time; if the network symptom remains unchanged, avoid conflating it with GPU load.
03

When to wait for a patch

If several players in the same match see synchronization failures while local connections remain stable, preserve the time, region, platform, and match context for an in-game report. Repeatedly changing unrelated system settings can make the evidence harder to interpret.
